Subcommittee Chair

These are appointed leaders of 11 specialist units and (the core pillar) of the NGO coalition’s operational structure. They facilitate and coordinate, providing a dedicated space for focused discussions and action on specific areas of our mission. They plan and organize monthly Subcommittee Meetings, foster collaboration among committee members, encourage sharing insights and best practices, and support the efficient implementation of our strategic initiatives.

Therefore, the Subcommittee chairs are also facilitators. They are asked to attend meetings and have the relevant expertise on thematic issues to be dealt with at the upcoming session if the theme is already known. They participate and play a purely facilitating and expert role and have no mandate to represent the coalition formally but may present agreed-upon positions from the region when appropriate.
